This handbook contains the intended use, description, method of application, and national stock numbers of active items, of limited and fully coordinated federal and military specifications covering pressure-sensitive, solvent activated, and miscellaneous tapes. These specification tapes are used by the majority of Naval activities and have been found to be satisfactory. The use of these materials, for the operations discussed in the text and appendices, is recommended in the interest of efficiency, economy, safety, and ease of procurement.
