This handbook provides comprehensive guidance to the facility engineer in the area of water conservation. Numerous ideas of potential water conserving technologies are presented along with avenues of funding for such projects. Executive Order 12902, as it relates to water conservation, is discussed and guidance is provided for establishing water conservation programs at military installations. Additionally, the appendices include detailed provisions for developing and submitting water conservation projects to higher headquarters for appropriate funding. This handbook is for guidance only. This handbook cannot be cited as a requirement. If it is, the contractor does not have to comply.
