MIL MIL-P-71031 Notice 1 – Inactivation – Propellant M45 for 120MM Mortar M230 Propelling Charge
This specification establishes the requirements and quality assurance provisions for the manufacture and acceptance of extruded M45 propellant for use in M230 Mortar Increments for use in the 120MM, Smoke M929, Illuminating M930, HE, M933/M934 cartridges. M45 Propellant is a blend of 100 parts by weight of double base propellant, Component A and 3 parts by weight of salt pellet propellent, Component B.
