MIL MIL-STD-648E – DESIGN CRITERIA FOR SPECIALIZED SHIPPING CONTAINERS (SUPERSEDING MIL-STD-648D)
MIL-STD-648E establishes general design guidelines and associated tests for specialized shippingcontainers used by the Department of Defense. Definitive requirements for specific containers will be defined by theindividual specification, acquisition, or task order. This standard is intended to be used as the basic referencedocument in all specifications and standards prescribing performance requirements to be applied to a specializedshipping container. Compliance with this intent is expected through normal application of the specification orstandard preparation and revision processes.
