This specification covers the general requirements for a diesel engine driven lift truck with telescoping tophandler for handling cargo containers. The container handling truck (hereinafter called truck) is a front wheel drive, rear wheel steer, pneumatic tired, diesel engine driven, front loading truck with a telescoping container tophandler as specified herein. Unless otherwise specified, the term truck shall be constructed to mean the container handling truck equipped with the telescoping tophandler.
