This specification covers a titanium alloy in the form of bars, forgings, and stock for forging.This material has been used typically for parts requiring strength and oxidation resistance up to 600 degrees F ( 316 degrees C) and weldability, but usage is not limited to such applications.Certain processing procedures and service conditions may cause these products to become subject to stress-corrosion; SAE ARP 982 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.
